On February 1, 2026, the Maryland Public Service Commission passed an equitable supply choice Energy Assistance Program that allows renters and owners who use 3,600 kilowatts the opportunity to have 10% deducted directly from their utility bill for the next 300 months. Low income households who meet the income limits below may qualify to have 15% deducted directly from their utility bill for the same period.
